CROWN HER

The human brain developed the greatest inventions, the eyes are the mirror of the soul, the mouth speaks poetry and laws... the face is the most diverse part of our body, it makes each of us so unique. Considering that, it's easy the understand why the head was the first part of the body to be decorated. Centuries ago crowns signified power, headscarves culture and religion and a special kind of hat could even display a person's job. Headgear is one of the most important tools in the fashion industry. Prada brought the turban back, Givenchy covers the head with chains and crystals while Dolce & Gabbana came up with their own very Italian headbands. I have to admit that I am obsessed with very big eyecather headbands at the moment. Especially my flower crowns are a sweet tribute to my Ukrainian origin.
Lately my mum started to design stunning headbands. Each is one of a kind, beautiful and absolutely distinctive. I believe we should be more brave with those kind of accessories. So girls, give your outfit a unique touch by adding a beautiful headband or even a nice headscarf.
H&M offered the most gorgeous red headband which reminds we of a tasteful little get together at a horse race. Gotta love the royal chic! ;)
How to wear them? I believe there are no more rules in fashion right?
Dolce & Gabbana: Rock it all- Statement crown, statement jewellery, statement dress... Be the statement ;)

It' your choice, rock it, love it, wear it!
Enjoy the beautiful spring days

LOUIS VUITTON MUNICH - MÜNCHEN ROCKT LOUIS! OPENING PARTY

It happened! Louis Vuitton opened their new breathtaking Maison in my hometown. Can you imagine how excited I was? I mean it's Louis! One of the greatest fashion labels of all time celebrates the opening of a new 1300m² Flagship House in the city center of Munich.
Where? The "Residenzpost", a historically valuable building next to our magnificent opera (Bayerische Staatsoper)
How? Honestly... I expected a little more. This is a really big deal, so I was thinking: Music, art installations, flat screens showing vintage LV related pictures, I don't know why but... I wanted something in the sky... a firework next to the Opera... well you get the idea ;)
The truth is, it was beautifully arranged, I'd call the opening very "München"- Chic, elegant, not over the top but still so worth the hype.
Who? Okay guys hold your breath, that's the best part. The wonderful Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl! Oh they are so lovely and sweet. And she is incredible, I mean she's so feminine, so tasteful and charming... It's impossible to take the eye of her. He's a real eye candy, so handsome and stylish.
This made my day!))
But... there are others worth to be mentioned: My favourite Beau in German cinematography... Moritz Bleibtreu... He looked very handsome in this marine themed Louis Vuitton sweater, and his signature smile was the cherry on top!
Also spotted: Franziska Knuppe: Loved the look!
Alexandra Neldel: Looking so "french chic"
Elyas M'Barek: He was very excited about the Champions League game
Palina Rojinski: I'm obsessed with that dress, she's such a sweetheart
& many very cool Fashionistas- Thank you girls for adding the Tuileries Charme! ;)
I was hoping to see the checkered print dresses live, I adore them! It is kind of a "love or hate" thing. And I have nothing but love for them ever since my beloved Russian fashion queens Miroslava Duma & Elena Perminova rocked them from Paris to Moscow.
... and I saw the it-dress on this lovely girl!))
Oh guys I'm so tired but I had to share this right now, hope you enjoyed it. ;)
Btw: There was only one topic at the opening: The Champions League  game Bayern München vs FC Barcelona. And guess who made it... ?! BAYERN! Louis Vuitton has to become their sponsor now... or better: Make their tricot! I'm so smart! ;)
Love you all & See you soon

TAKE MY PICTURE

Quote- Garage Magazine on TAKE MY PICTURE:
"When we set out to make this short, our intention simply was to observe the phenomenon of fashion bloggers and street style stars. As we started to review the footage, two salient trends became apparent: fashion editors frustrated by the ensuing commotion outside of shows, and the rise of "peacocking" street style stars as a result of the proliferation of blogs. This film examines these themes from both perspectives."

This is incredible! I'm in love with this short docu and the new perspective on the unbelievable street style hype of the past decade. So worth it guys, check it out! ;)

Happy Sunday

PIC OF THE DAY

KIM KARDASHIAN AND KANYE WEST HEAT IT UP ON THE COVER OF L'OFFICIEL HOMMES SPRING 2013
One picture- So much talk. ;) Well this is a classic "love or hate it" situation. What do you think about the cover? I have to admit... I like it! I mean, it's spring, it's passion and it's love. Most importantly it is tasteful, just like L'Officiel. I don't see why this is so offensive. LOL Guys, come on we accepted Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic literally trying to make a beautiful model baby on the cover of "Viva", looking a little "caught in the act".  In Russia Viva is the kind of magazine, featured in a cookie commercial, read by a happy family on the couch. But L'Officiel is provocative, super editorial and an ultimate measure when it comes to high fashion magazines. So... let's keep it cool, while Kimye keeps it hot. ;) Make your choice and...
... have a great night)) (via lofficiel.com)

FRIDA KAHLO - QUEEN OF ART AND FASHION

http://www.fkhs.org/images/frida20kahlo1.jpg
When I was 9 years old, a good friend of mine took me to the cinema... We were on vacation and the hotel had a cute little movie theater on the 16th floor. The movie we watched influenced my entire life in a way. I was always interested in art and enjoyed museums and theater when I was a kid with my mum grandma (who liked to sleep during the plays lol)). So back to that movie: It was Frida. Honestly it messed with my mind in a way. I mean, I was very young and I don't think that a kid can understand all of this at that age. When I watch it now, there is so much more happening inside of me, 'cause now I understand what kind of woman she was: A goddess of art.
In 1907 one of the most influential artists of the 20th century was born in a place called Coyoacán: Frida Kahlo. Her turbulent and wild life had so many ups and downs, so many blows of fate and so many turning points, that I don't find it to be possible to express all that in one single article. Her creative work can be summed up in the following words: Love, Folk Art, Colours, Feminism, Beauty, Passion, Humanism, Unconventionality and a truly Unique Nature. She left a mark on the image of Mexico forever and became a character of inspiration for many artists and designers. Frida is not only an icon of arts but also of fashion. Her style was full of the colours red and green (Flag of Mexico), flowers, incredibly stunning hair accessories and beautiful details. After so many years people still keep paying tribute to this unique woman in arts and fashion and that makes me very happy. This is the true definition of immortality to me- Leaving a mark on the world.

I wish you all a beautiful weekend and a great relaxing time.
