WIESN 2013

Oktoberfest: Two weeks of screaming, drinking, singing, dancing, rocking and doing things you'll never remember. ;) I'm a well behaved lady so my Wiesn (bav.= Oktoberfest) experience was a little different (most of the time). I grew up in Munich and visited the Oktoberfest for the first time in 1999. I was wearing an "all denim everything" classic 90s outfit... pretty swaggy Russian kid. ;) The magic of the world's greatest "Volksfest" bewitched me right away! And I have to admit: This is something you should experience, an ultimate must-see!) Wiesn 2013 was insane! Crazy nights, crazy people, super crazy "just stop, you must be kidding me" stories, made this year's Oktoberfest unforgettable.
I had to develop some rules for girls. "Girls go "Weezn"- This is how we do"! " Ladies this one's for you! ;)
1. Dirndl:
Guys my fashion icons are not only Miroslava Duma and Keti Topuria but also Jay-Z, Kanye and Pharrell Williams. My style is 99% all black everything. Can you guess the colour of my Dirndl?
-Pink?
-Hell no!
-Blue?
-The B is good...
-Black?!?
-Bitch you got it! ;)
All black, all silk... all me. ;)
Honestly I was planing on wearing something super fancy, a "Dirndl made of gold", you know... Dolce Gabbana inspired. ;) But then I saw this hilarious video: Harry G is the swaggiest dude around! If you speak German... check him out! My friends are already complaining, because I'm quoting him non-stop. He is a genius, gotta love him! ;)
Harry G über das Oktoberfest:
So thanks to Harry, I decided to find the perfect little black Dirndl (knee-length is a must, no shorties on the Oktoberfest please!). My mum helped me pick this one. It is just what I was looking for, the kind of Dirndl you could wear to the Wiesn AND After-Wiesn!))
2. Shoes&Accessories:
Headbands and statement necklaces are the perfect accessories for your Dirndl. This year the flower crown was a huge trend! Many fashionistas rocked beautiful colourful floral headbands. The statement necklace is like a crown to your sexy cleavage! ;)
One stunning blond once explained to me that high heels are not part of an authentic Wiesn outfit. I saw her wearing Timberlands with her Dirndl and I loved it! It's just perfect (also for guys btw). We both also like a pair of beautiful exquisite leather ballerina flats. But ok I did it, I rocked heels! High heels, we're talking 14cm for 14 hours. Power trip! ;) And I also rocked some studded short biker boots - Loved the comfort!)) To sum it up:
I say Yes to: ballerinas, Timberlands, 'Trachtenschuhe' (bav. authentic Dirndl shoes), cool short boots (I love the idea of Chloe 'Susanna' boots and a stunning casual Dirndl), and if you are Carrie Bradshaw (aka notorious high heel lover) wear beautiful heels in a nice nude or even something studded a la Valentino
No way darling: Air Max, Jordans or any kind of Adidas/ Puma etc., white boots, flip flops (yes, I saw it!!!), Ugg Boots... Honey be a bad bitch not a bad dressed bitch! ;)
3. Attitude:
Ladies behave! Order Radler instead of a Maß. It's beer mixed with lemonade. I can't even finish one of them to be honest. I was never drunk in my entire life... and I'm Russian! ;) It's just not my thing, I love to be in control of the situation and be the person who remembers everything and leaves the party with grace! ;) I was a little tipsy during one Wiesn trip but all in measure. Girls there are so many morons! Alcohol+dump person=Babe watch your back! Dolls watch for your bags, their hands and your head (yes, some beer heroes are too busy being awesome to hold their stupid jug!).
4. Entourage:
Go with good fun people, who stay in control and are able to take care of themselves. AND always stay with at least one person of the group. As soon as you lose them you can either party with Australians or leave. Finding your folks at 10pm on a Wiesn Saturday is Mission Impossible (phones are off, it's super loud... or the phone is swimming in beer)!!
5. No rules, have FUN! ;) O'Zapft is! ;)
Hope you guys join me and my mates next year, see you @ Wiesn 2014!
LOVE
M
