People in the fashion industry are constantly accused of living in a meaningless material world. True, there are so many more important issues than Nicolas Ghesquière for LV or the new Saint Laurent boots. And still, art remains a powerful source of inspiration and creativity for centuries. It's the most beautiful way to express ourselves and make a statement. A little gesture can make a huge difference. The Fashion Week in Paris is one of the most important events of the year and the Chanel show is the crown jewel of the French fashion circus. Karl Lagerfeld already transformed the Grand Palais into a supermarket, models walked down the runway like they went out to buy some milk. Now the reigning
King of Fashion decided to create a demonstration: Cara Delevingne holding a megaphone, supermodels demanding freedom and piece, a front row full of impressed A-list fashion folks, a shining Karl Lagerfeld and obviously
all Chanel everything. Summer 2015 will be full of colours, stripes and sophistication. The designer makes Chanel's signature 60s style boots the key piece of the collection. I love the clothes, the dresses and fabrics are sensational! The bags are inspired by the phenomenal success of this years Chanel backpack: tie dye, tassels and a rather casual look. All in all the show was just what we expected. The brilliant concept was the ideal backdrop for those flawless and stunning designs.
Grandiose!
Chanel remains a revolution among the classic couture elite of French fashion. How do they manage to constantly reinvent the label? We must have seen everything by now, right? Apparently we didn't. I can't wait for the next show! Are you guys excited to see the ad campaign for the SS 2015 collection? Will it be Cara Delevingne again? Cara is amazing but I feel like the theme of the legendary 60s revolution also requires a
Bardot-like goddess. What about the gorgeous Anna Ewers? Think about it Karl. ;) I'm sorry Munich, but my mind is all in Paris... ;)
xx
LOVE
