To me Chanel is the emperor of french fashion and couture, there is no other! Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Hermès: My french couture ivy league. People like Raf Simons, Riccardo Tisci and Karl Lagerfeld are the heroes of my generation. The secret of eternal success in the fashion industry is harmony of the old and new. It's just like the Louvre and its futuristic yet timeless Pyramid. The contrast creates the harmony. Christian Dior's name became a couture metaphor for a reason. Simons mission is to keep up the tradition and recognizability while coming up with something entirely new every season. Easy Peasy, for the iconic Belgian designer. Simons' work is brilliant lately and Dior is responsible for major trends of the season. Instagram, the Golden Globes, Paris Fashion Week- everywhere... the flying  pearls. Dior is using pearls in a way we've never seen before: Mise en Dior
The concept is inspired by outer space. An illusion of a setting-free flying object is so 2014.
