PRETTY WOMAN: FASHION MOMENTS!

Today we go for another mint round: This time we image us to wear these killing Topshop heels, popped with a stunning Chloé Madeleine tote walking down the Rodeo Drive with some juicy retro sound... something like Kiss by Prince. An outfit like this deserves the right kind of transport and as you guys probably already discovered, I have a slight obsession with cars. I know that I want to ride a Range Rover or a big Lexus since I'm like 5 years old.) But lately I'm just so in love with these fast little eye cathers. So what do we pick for our mint sensation? Obviously a summery mint coloured Königsegg. ;)
Prince, Rodeo Drive... does the bell ring?)  This fashionable scenario is also a little tribute to one of my favourite movies ever: Pretty Woman. I always recommend to watch something with a great ending, gorgeous fashion and a man like Richard Gere. The early 90's in LA must have been such a breathe-taking experience. There were no "I refuse to wear underwear today"- celebrities, amazing sounds from MJ to Prince, Hip Hop legends like Snoop were young and out on the streets rockin' some freestyle and of course a lot of forbidden danger. Los Angeles! Girls dressed like the cast members of Clueless hopin' to meet the charming Beau with the Aston Martin. Topic of the day? A 90's inspired day with some West Coast flow. Here are Vivian's most memorable Top 3 looks and suggestions for recreating them with some 2012 pieces.

 1. The LBD Date Look:
This is the moment when Edward realised that she is so much more than a red light girl, she's genuine, funny and simply stunning. The dress made a revolution in female cocktail wear. It shows just the perfect amount of skin and shines with a incommensurable royal touch. This dress makes every girl a woman. An example of ideal arrangement of accessories, hair style and attitude: An ultimate fashion ever green.
2. The Shopping Costume:
Maybe this sounds a bit weird but I never cried (ok maybe a couple of times ;) ) at the beautiful happy ending. The scene which makes me get teary-eyed is the famous shopping scene. I love the staging: The classy outfit, the iconic song, the transition of the hooker who didn't believe in herself into a strong stunning girl who deserves to own the world! Incredible look, incredibly touching!
3. Simply Red:
Hm... what could it be? I guess it's clear that there's only one answer: THE red dress! I feel like there are a couple of dressed... as important as the invention of the iPad, the Boeing or the first car. One of them is all white and pure, flying around Marilyn Monroe. The other one is worn by Jane Birkin and all see-through. And then there's the dress which is known to be the image of femininity: Vivian's red opera night out gown. This is so kitschy, so impressive and so unforgettable and glamorous... just like a Nat King Cole song. After the movie came out, billions of girls were searching for an equivalent believing that a dress like that can change their whole love life carma. I believe it! ;)
The big question now is obviously: Who is responsible for these looks?! And I did my research for you and here's the answer: Costume Design genius Marilyn Vance. Check out this wonderful interview on elle.com> http://www.elle.com/Pop-Culture/Movies-TV-Music-Books/Happy-Birthday-Pretty-Woman
I hope you guys liked it, have a great weekend! ;)
