OCTOBER FAVOURITES: HIP HOP EDIT

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome! I know it's been a while, there was a lot going on. My October stated with the most outrageous and hilarious Oktoberfest weekend which turned into the wildest party marathon ever. It was Usher's Caught Up which gave me the most juicy throwback. I started to remember 2012 when we jumped during Tyga's concert in between the A-level finals. Why did we stop to go out like there was no tomorrow? We are young and adventurous, there's so much to see and even more to do. So we started to go clubbing 6 times a week again. Lil Wayne songs, lavish accessories and black wayfarers in class... Lol we're OGs again. This is literally my first 'calm' day in months. I have time to blog while listening to Hotline Bling - Amazing! Speaking of Drake's latest video, let's talk about October favourites... Here we go! ;)

Drizzy Drake
I know when that hotline bling, that can only mean one thing... You guys know that Drizzy is one of my favourites. I love his style, the beats, the epic lyrics, the modesty of his presence and obviously the countless TheFatJewish jokes based on either his moves or videos. Drake raised us, we are the Young Money generation. We were in The Zone expressing Crew Love, screaming just Hold On We're Going Home. We are aware of the fact that it's important to Know Yourself, be Legend and party Uptown... and obviously Take Care. Drizzy's latest masterpiece is a funky minimalistic music video for his hit single Hotline Bling. There's some passionate old school dancing going on, mixed with artistic visuals and a red Moncler. It's just so cool and modern, it's kind of weird... but in a good way.;) Drake broke the internet with his incomparable body skills! See for yourself... ;)
HMxBalmaination
Olivier Rousteing collaborated with H&M! The creative director of Balmain is not only the most hyped and followed designer on Instagram, he's also an incredible genius and the BFF of our dreams. We love his luxurious parties, beautiful friends, incredible outfits, flawless selfies and hilarious videos. He's the Drake of the fashion industry. Olivier is sensational! He managed to become the king of Parisian couture within a couple of years. His breathtaking designs gave Balmain the long awaited renaissance. Rousteing creates fashion for every generation (most importantly his own).
"I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it" Olivier Rousteing
Now the collection is finally viral. Last night the fashion elite celebrated the pre-launch (the Backstreet Boys were there - How epic is that?!) The pieces are classic Rousteing: A lot of gold, heavy Hip Hop influence, lavish embellishments and just the right amount of sexiness. I can't wait! My number 1 piece is probably the super hot lyon leather jacket. It's just so ... Empire! ;) There will also be a wide range of jewellery and even a fragrance. Olivier even put the signature Balmain logo T in the collection. It will be sold out faster than the first Yeezy Boost! So hurry guys, the 5th of November is officially the most important shopping date of the season! ;)
Balmain for H&M was already seen on: Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Elena Perminova (here featured in Elle Russia), Lewis Hamilton, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Ellie Goulding, Zachary Quinto and many more - Join the Balmaination!

Empire
So now we had music and fashion - What's missing? A TV show! I'm sorry THE TV show. Hip Hop, incredible suits, Tom Ford, Gucci, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and more - To the Empire! Terrence Howard is my ultimate crush at the moment. I mean seriously, how perfect is this guy?! The face, the smile, the body, the style... This is how a king is supposed to look like. Cookie (played by Taraji P. Henson) is my ultimate fashion inspiration. I'm wearing hoops again, layering gold like Birdman and buying dresses shorter than 2009 Hervé Léger. She's amazing! No wonder Carine Roitfeld featured her in the CR fashion book. This cast is fire, fire, legendary - a must-see for every hip hop loving fashionista! ;)
Every single song from the soundtrack is on my iPod, I know all the lyrics and I push it harder than Nicki when I listen to them. This show is a masterpiece! Timbaland is known for being one of the most influential music producers of all times. With his work for Empire he took it to another level. It's hard to believe that one man can never reach a limit. The music is unbelievable. Can't wait for more! Who's your favourite Lyon? Oh they are all everything.... ;) Here are some of my favourite Empire songs (And yes, Hakeem's the dream):
I hope you guys enjoy the upcoming weekend, stay tuned for more posts on the Balmain collaboration! ;)
xx
