IN STORES: FASHION, PIECES, BOOKS

Spring in the city! The ice is melting, the birds are singing, the SALE is ending, the summer collections are in the windows and we all just can't wait for sunshine! The best thing about the Oscars is the fact that they officially close the winter and introduce the spring season. Am I the only one who thought that they were particularly boring this year? Where was Old Hollywood? I get that the Academy tries to make the ceremony more modern. But seriously, when you watch the Oscars you expect Robert De Niro and not Chris Pine (#nodisrespecttoPine). At least Meryl Streep is an A-lister you can always count on! I'm so glad Eddie Redmayne won the Academy Award for his unbelievable performance in The Theory of Everything. It's such an inspiring story and breathtaking adaption. British Hollywood is the best thing ever. Benedict Cumberbatch, Matthew Goode, Ed Weeks - Guys we need to see more of you on the big screen, go for it! ;) My best dressed awards go out to Dakota Johnson, Adrien Brody and Lady Gaga. That Alaia dress made my day!
For now let's take a look at the beautiful new spring/summer pieces from our favourite designers in my beloved In Stores series! Enjoy! I love my München... ;)

50 SHADES OF GREY REVIEW

I did it... I watched 50 Shades of Grey. I've never seen a movie theater this full! The excitement was unbelievable, apparently Sam Taylor-Wood 's latest masterpiece is obligatory for every modern day adult. Wherever you go, whatever you hear or see - It's everywhere. Fifty Shades of Grey is officially the movie of the year. This century's most outrageous and controversial book is finally hitting the big screen. We've fantasised about this twisted romance for years now. E. L. James embodied the 21st century's dark twisted fantasy on over 500 pages. The magic of a book relies on the fact that there are no boundaries to our imagination. T. S. Eliot taught us that the novel doesn't exist without the reader. Thanks to those millions of readers Fifty Shades of Grey now became visual and it's... brilliant! Creating an aesthetic and tasteful BDSM movie seemed to be 'mission impossible'. There is only a number of directors who could make this happen. Sam Taylor-Wood managed to direct 125 minutes of pure beauty and art. There is so much luxury, exquisite locations, breathtaking places and most importantly amazing chemistry. Bow down! Taylor-Wood deserves 5/5 for her unbelievable work. It's so natural and light, an epic love story with a little déjà vu effect. There were obviously some moments of awkwardness and discomfort, but that again is unavoidable with a topic this delicate.
When the making of 50 Shades of Grey was announced the internet screamed Ian Somerholder, Alexis Bledel, Henry Cavill...! Vampire Diaries fans hoped to see a Salvatore brother in the Grey suit. We all had our opinions on the cast. Choosing 'newcomers' was definitely the smartest decision. Jamie Dornan is insanely hot and absolutely amazing for the role of Christian Grey. The  Irish actor used to model for Dior and Calvin Klein, now he became Hollywood royalty. Well deserved! He did a great job. (The toast scene, you know it!) But the shining star of this film is Dakota Johnson. Her aristocratic beauty made this movie so tasteful. She's flawless. Her incredible on-camera presence is breathtaking. Ana and Christian's chemistry was hypnotic. Dakota is the perfect innocent flower, this was an Oscar worthy performance!
Dakota shares the gold medal with the woman whose music made this movie so exquisite. My favourite track is definitely Haunted. Queen Bey's powerful voice, the addictive beat, the sensuality - Haunted is one of the best songs she's ever done. The first trailer already featured a remix of the power couple's anthem Crazy in Love. Wait until you see it in the movie, it's a match made in heaven! Beyoncé collaborated with Boots, who is famous for co-writing and producing many songs from her incredibly successful self-titled album. Bey, you really are the one and only reigning queen! And as we all know, there is no classic without the epic soundtrack. Also featured: The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding, Sia, Annie Lennox, Frank Sinatra and The Rolling Stones. Rita Ora makes a little appearnce as Christian Grey's sister Mia Grey. I can't wait for the second movie! What do you guys think?
All in all: 4.5/5 I can only  highly recommend the cinema visit. 50 Shades of Grey is certainly worth the hype!

YEEZY'S CLIQUE, NYFW, ADIDAS BOOST

It happened: Kanye West presented his long awaited 'vision of perfection' in cooperation with adidas Originals. Unlike his predecessors, Kanye chose muted colours and truly original cuts and textures. The maître was obviously inspired by some of his favourite colleagues like Haider Ackermann and Helmut Lang. The concept takes the breath away and the setting of the show reflects Kanye's love for flawless simplicity. The selection of models (including Kim K's gorgeous little sister Kylie Jenner) and guests is pure perfection. This was probably the most epic front row ever - Queens and Kings only.
Rihanna visited the show wearing Julia Seemann, she loves to experiment with fashion and looks from newcomers. This outfit by the young Swiss designer Julia Seeman is amazing on RiRi. I love her current natural look. So beaut!
The fashion elite is only complete with Queen Anna I. and designer Alexander Wang. The most important editors in the game were busy instagramming and tweeting. It was the show of the year! First Lady Kim Kardashian West supported her husband together with their incredibly adorable daughter North and Kim's sisters plus mom/manager Kris Jenner.
This guest list definitely had the potential to steal the show and even outshine the designer himself. Bow Down! Nonetheless the line managed to live up to the hype. Kanye's colour palette is my ultimate 2015 trend. Can't wait to style those 50 shades of West this spring. I love how the collection is very different from Jeremy Scott's work for Adidas. The pieces are mostly very unique and exquisite without being too avant garde. The models were styled perfectly, minimal makeup with maximal effect. Kylie is so beautiful without all of her signature MAC glam. Less is very often more.
How did you guys like the show? Is Kanye West a modern day genius? (Yes he is!) What about Kim's look? Mrs. West was dressed head to toe in Yeezy. Kim looks amazing but next to the fully dressed Beyonce the total look comes across a little - excuse my french - cheap. Those are luxurious sports wear pieces which only work in combination with well... 'actual clothes'. Dear Kim, you are gorgeous and we all know that but wearing nothing but tights next to Anna Wintour is a little disrespectful. Sweetheart, put some clothes on already! ;) All in all: Beautiful designs, incredible music, epic people, lovely couples, great expectations and a big comeback for one of the most talented and productive men in the music/fashion industry. We can't wait for your upcoming projects Ye'! ;)
