Rain in Munich City! The perfect weather for packing the suitcase before I leave for lunch and Maelu sweets with my lovely friend Elena.
I already realise, that this will be huge problem, 'cause it doesn't matter how hard I try reducing my clothes, it's still too much. Now I understand the circumstances behind the pictures of Vic Beckham at the airport, checking in with like 25 suitcases. ;) I decided to take it slow, and start with the glasses I NEED. My mum is already shocked.)) "Why do you need multiple gold glasses and 2 blue ones?" I won't tell her that there are 4 more, which I'm hiding in my travel pillow. ;) I don't even want to start thinking of the amount of shoes I'll take with me...
Another thing I love doing in those kind of rainy mornings, is watching fashion shows. There's one month left for summer couture and then my favourite fashion season starts: Autumn! I adore autumn! I love the boots, the layering, the tourists in Munich during the Oktoberfest and all that jazz...
So going through the Chanel, Givenchy and McCartney shows, I realised that there are significant trends this fall, and that it's time to get prepared. I already have the feeling that this is the best fall ever! ;) 'Cause these trends are absolutely gorgeous!*
1. Leather:
Givenchy was rough, extreme, strong and super seductive. The Fall/ Winter 2012/13 show is all about the sexiest material in the fashion carousel: Leather. Kanye's beloved leather pants, leather boots, tops, dresses... all leather! Sure, it never really goes out of fashion, in no way, but this season the fixation on the use of leather is conspicuous.
Colours: Black, red, orange
2. Magenta:
The bonbon pink is passé. But the colour group of pink shades, brings a new variation of the colour in the game: Magenta. Magenta is like a very dark pink, not as bright as fuchsia but in the same time not as natural as burgundy (it-colour f/w 2010/2011). I'm so in love with it! Cavalli featured it in his Pre-Collection of Just Cavalli while Chanel and McCartney made it a signature shade of their main collections. This is the perfect alternative for the pastel and bonbon pink we loved so much this summer. So girls, don't miss it and get ready! ;) Btw: The colour looks phenomenal with a very dark shade of forest green, a classic Etro Tribute. ;)
3. Purple:
"Are you wearing purple?" This hilarious question was the start of the backstage interview with Karl Lagerfeld at the Chanel show. "Yes of course!" Karl replies. He's dressed in purple in order to match the colour of his icy crystal installation surrounding the runway. This show was so unlike Chanel. Definitely not the kind of couture we are used to, but still very likable. I kind of enjoyed it, the colour spectrum was very revolutionary for Chanel. Karl, I adore you, especially your brain, whatever is going on up there! Genius! ;) So here you go guys, purple and dark grey all over the Grand Palais.
4. Royal Blue:
Stella McCartney makes the colour a statement. Her signature cuts ans styles combined with a touch of royal chic, thanks to royal blue.
5. Enjoying the last summer month:
This is probably the most important trend: Use the sun to get the energy you will need in the cold season, go out, have fun and ENJOY! ;)
So girls, don't forget to include these trends in your late summer shopping, make them our own, stay in style, have a great week and... see you guys soon. ;)
